Girls come and go, but you Dakota will always be there for you! With the money spent on the Dakota, you will see a nice return on your money, your girl could leave you tomorrow (not all implying she would) and you wouldn't get anything back on your money!!! I am 19 as well and have to admit I have spent so much on my Dakota that the women have had to wait for the big presents for a while!

I'm only 16 so I haven't had much expierience with girlfriends or Dakotas, but I do know that for the four months I have had my Dakota it has been more faithful to me than any girl I know ever has been. But then again...

Thats like asking would I rather breath(Breathing would be modding your truck) or not breath?(not breathing spending 2k on your girl) Get her a good sunglo 100 dollar dimonique ring for your girl (i still think 100 dollars is alot) then you can spend the other 1900 on your truck. Isnt any need for overkill.

Dated my ex for 3 1/2 years. through some of high school and into college. Spent tons of $$$ on her all the time. But after getting to college and seeing all the fine ass girlz there, I had to let my ex go. So now I chill with alot of different ladys and spend big $$$ on my Dak! Works very nice...

I know how you feel Intense...became fitted with the ball-and-chain as of October 20 of last year, and the slammer officially locks shut July 27th of this year. I dished out $1500 for her ring so I know how you feel.
But I know I have found my soulmate. How? Simple. SHE was the one who favored the Dakota (I thought they were higher priced) and gave me $4000 for the down payment to cover the difference on my other truck, an S-10 which neither of us liked.
She likes Dakotas, she hates Chevys, and SHE gave ME money. *sigh* I'm in heaven. :)
(A tip for those who would buy cheap rings. DON'T unless your girl knows. It doesn't matter HOW good it looks...she will know it's not a diamond. I have a buddy who had the jewelry shop bring out 16 different rings, 4 rings at a time 4 times, and 8 of the rings were cubic zirconia and other colorless stones. She picked ALL of them out. It was almost scary.)

AS for me, Sic, yeah I loved her up intil she started acten like she was a hick. Let me explain. We both went to the same college. Both did well the first year. Then she started to slip. And spoke of quiten school. Not cool to me. Plus, she started talken about "the Plung" and kids. No way now. Not at 20! Had to hit the road. I guess I miss her-- Sometimes--. Right up until I talk to my new chick.

I gotta tell ya, I am 19 and in college and am loving not havin a girl right now. Sure it would be nice, but I have wasted my time on too many women that just ended up costing me a lot of money! I realized I didn't need one at all times to make me happy so now I am doing the bachelor thing and spending QUALITY money on my truck and really seeing the results. If the right woman comes my way,fine, but I ain't goin to bend over backwards to find her!

Guys, the ring I got talked into buying would have bought me a supercharger and nitrous. Not to mention the new car for her, and the honeymoon I have to pay for after the wedding in September. And now we are buying a house! Good thing I bought most of my mods last year.....

i had to settle for this girl.....
she use to drive my truck and got pulled over by the police in it...i am proud of her...the cop even saw the armrest between the seats and asked if it was her truck ;) !

Spend it on our trucks. i was engaged to get married after a four year relationship. 7 monthes before the wedding she decided she wanted to wait. so it cost me $400.00 due to cancelations and a $300.00 diamond. now i am trying to buy truck stuff on a budget. i could of had my exhaust, throttle bodie, all kinds of mods done but i was blinded by a girl. like someone said above. your truck will be there for you and get a better return. dont get me wrong though i like girls and will get married in the future. when i can afford both. Plus i am only 21 right now. chris

Well, I'm 23, and I've had my woman since 96 and my truck since 99. (Married in 2000) I spend my money on my wife first, then my truck. Personal preference. I found the right woman early on and I don't regret it for a second. :-) I get much more satisfaction making her happy then making myself happy.
