Message: I saw an add for this thing calle a "Tornado". It claims to spin the air going into the engine, and get you like 24% better gas milage. Does anyone have one of these? Does it work?
Thanks for the advice!

Message: If anything, it restricts air flow. Do a search on here and you'll find several people that have commented on it.

Message: don't you think that if a $1 piece of fan blade metal gave a 25% increase in mpg that the automakers would have put it on at the factory?????

Message: Most people have no idea how to even check mileage scientifically, so you have to take their claims with some skepticism. I have had people tell me with a straight face more than once that their V-8 full size car or truck gets 36 miles per gallon. I think the Tornado is right up there with the magic fuel pellets they used to sell a few years ago, and the amazing magnetic fuel filter, both of which made similar claims. The bottom line is, if you want economy, get an economical vehicle, don't waste your money on gadgets.
