i have read through about i million forums inn the last few weeks but am still lost on the final verdict.its about my 98 dak, just finished pulling my 3.9 out this afternoon (sounded like a damn cummins)and dont know if i should or can rebuild this. maybe find a 318 or 360?what will give me the most bang for my buck (mileage not a concearn, company truck)i hate to ask this same question but just an easy answer from somone experienced would be good so i can start hunting

i alraedy pulled it out because there was a nasty knock in the bottom end, maybe a bearing?.i havent tore it apart yet because i dont know if i can put it back together perfectly,can a competant home mech do it right or does it definatly need a pro
