Subject: which flowmaster to choose
IP: Logged

Message:
I am looking at getting a flowmaster muffler for my truck. However, I have seen 3 models of flowmaster 40 and I am not sure which sounds best. The models are the delta flow, super and original. Which has the best note, in your opinion?

P.S. I live in Michigan and can't afford a ticket, so if any of you know if these are illegal here, could you tell me. I just want to be sure.

If you are going to keep your cat conv., go with the 40 series delta flow.

If you are gutting/cutting your cat, get the 50 series delta flow.

The delta flow gives you the good tone as you are accelerating and hauling, but quiets down to about half the loudness when cruising at a steady speed at any rpm. It actually works, I have the 50 with no cat and my friend has the 40 with a cat and they sound great.

I hope you don't mind plenty of noise in the cab. The 40 series flows well but is loud inside and outside the cab.

I just put a super 40 after having a normal 40 series before.. there actually is a difference and the Super 40 sounds great ( deeper toned by alot.. its kinda weird how much difference there is... the normal 40 made it sound ricy but the super donest..) get it .. it sounds great
