Subject: Custom Intake, where to buy SS tubing?? IP: Logged
Message: I want to do a custom intake to save money, but I dont want to do a complete ghetto job so I want to go with some 3" stainless steel tubing or likewhise. Any idea on where I could purchase something like this? I alerady have my K&N picked out as there was a large list of them with dimensions on K&N's website.
Thanks for the help and any other imput on the custom intake ideas let me know...

Message: try your local exhaust shop. preferably one that specializes in big rig exhaust. they should have the 3" & 4" stuff.

Message: How did your custom intake turn out? Did you like the performance gain or was it noticable or anything? I want to get the SS tubing bent but im not sure what angle yet...i need to use some of my math skills i guess.
Also, the filter and stuff. I'm going to use 3" tubing (is that good?), and printed out a list of K&N filters and their dimensions. I'm probably going to go with the RE-0810...its 3" inlet, 6" diam. at the bottom and almost 5" diam. at the top, and 9 inches long. How does all this sound and do you think I need to get the pre-charger/outerwear for it? I know its probably a good idea cuz I can tell on the YFZ (race quad) that the outerwear catches A LOT of stuff. Just would like some opinions so I dont screw this up!
Thanks again!
