Subject: sputtering bad IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 V6. I just replaced the fuel pump. (What a pain in the a$$). Now today, the truck started sputtering really bad when I was driving it. I tried changing the plugs I have a new air filter and no improvement. I have 105,000 on it. Any ideas.
Thanks

Message: Check your EGR valve and the charcoal-carbon inline filter to the EGR valve. My husbands truck was doing the same thing and I just did process of elimination and when I checked the EGR valve I found it to be faulty. I replaced it and whala... the truck runs like new...160,000 miles.

Message: Except 96 and up DON"T have EGR..!
If only running bad after warm-up
= probable O2 sensor..
Best way is get it scanned at Autozone or similar
