My friend just bought this new 2004 Mazda6, and hes all excited about racing me. I know nothing about those cars, but he has the 4 cylinder version. I have a 99 Dakota Sport v6 Manual thats stock to the bone, anyone know anything about that Mazda and think I could beat him? Dont wanna go around saying stuff before I have an idea about the capabilities of HIS car, thanks.

I'd be bettin on the Mazda...nothing against your dak, but generally trucks don't do well in races against cars (generally...definitely not always...).

gearing would be one reason he would win. Have him put a 5000 lb trailer behind his mazda and see how well it does then.

I dunno it might be a good race ... I raced a 03 mazda6 and i beat him to 60 but after that he was catching me kinda quickly. I have a 94 ext cab v6 with the following:
