This is just a guess, but here's prolly what it'd sound like... go eat a lot of garlic, onions, or whatever else causes gas and wait about an hour. When you feel the gas rumbling in your stomach, let it rip...that's probably what it'd sound like. I can't imagine straight pipes sounding good on a V6...whether it be a 175 HP 3.9L or a 210 HP 3.7L...

A few 3.7 owners I know went to the dynomax 17748
and loved the resaults, little louder than stock
Also they changed out the throttle body for the
4.7 body and had very good resaults the 3.7 reacts
just like the 3.9 to these mods
Cold air also helps on the 3.7
Straight pipe would sound like a ricer and loud

I have the 17748 on my 3.7 and love it.
Do you have a resource for cheap 4.7L and is it a true bolt on?

I will assume the 3.7 will sound better than a 3.9 due to the power increase, so the Dynomax should be slightly louder than stock or you could go real loud and get the Flowmaster 40. Keep the stock pipes, they should flow nicely with an aftermarket muffler.

have come to the cnclusion that the sound of a motor has nothing to do with the power it makes. i have heard 2.8 s10's that sound exactly like 5.0 mustangs. with that said dont striaght pipe ur truck, it will prob not sound very good. i didi it to mine and i noticed a drop in tq anda junk sounding exhaust

There are only 2 ways to get a 4.7 body
If lucky find one in a bone yard
New from chrysler
Yes a true bolt on replacement, The only diff is
the size of the bore you can see that its stamped
right on the body casting

i straight piped my 3.9, it sounded awesome when idleing, when i got on it, its sounded terrible!! literally it sounded like a pissed off bumble be in a can!!! it was awful! i got the flowmaster 40, i love it!!! man, do it right the first time!! later!

i straight piped my 3.7 with a cherry bomb muffler. only regret
is that i should of done a dual exhaust. sounds really good tho
on ideal and getting on it
