Subject: Tires IP: Logged
Message: Okay, I'm going to be buying a set of tires in about 2 weeks to a month. Its a 2000 RC Sport running a 3.9L. Now in the front are Radials that were orginally came with the truck when I bought it. Tirerack says the OE on my truck is 215/75-15. Last year I bought 2 used tires from some shop. I told them to put the biggest tire they had that would fit in the rear. (I burned out the oe tires in the back, LOL) So I ended up with Radial Cooper Cobras GT (255/70/15) They are pretty nice, but the first and only place I went looking didnt carry Cobras. So I just wanted to know what is the biggest street tire I could fit in the first and rear. I dont plan to go offroading at all. I like the look of wide tires due to the muscle car look it give and handling. My rims are 15x6, I'm pretty sure since the R/T are 17x8 or 9. Tires are a big decision that most dismiss. What good is all that power if you have no traction. Thanx for any help/information.
