The above site has got me confused, I just bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota SXT V6 I assumed it was the 175 HP 3.9 engine. but when i read the specs on that above site it says it's a 3.7L 210 HP motor. I though that was the 04 only motor.
can some clarify please.

Lift the hood and you should be able to tell the diff between the 3.9 and the 3.7. The 3.9 has the old beer barrel intake the 3.7 has a plastic intake just like the 4.7???????????????????

I thinks the guys are right 2003 was the last year 3.9L was fitted to daks, 3.7L motor in 2004.s
and up!!!!!

I have a '04 with the 3.7L V6. Aside from the large, square airhat that says "Magnum 3.7L", the TB is forward facing as I've seen on the 4.7L engines. Unless you have the truck in front of you, I would say the '03 is going to be 3.9L.
