Message: it's okay akaproph, what dan doesnt know is that i not only relocated my IAT, i adjusted my TPS to .750 and added another TPS under my accllerator pedal. I adjusted it to .375 so that when my foot hits the pedal, it sends the signal twice as fast to the throttle body so i double the amount of accelleration.

Message: Should be 125 across the board and only very at
the most 25 psi 35 and being at 90 is boarder line
for pulling it down and rebuilding
I was surprised when I did a comp test on this 92
motor I am running it had 125 in every cyl not
even 1 off all identical and at 100,000 I switched
it over to Amsoil 40 psi at idle 60 to 70 while
crusing tells me the lower end is also in very
good shape.
The motor came out of a rolled truck but the guy
did do regular oil changes and it was in our shop
anytime it had probs, one of the reasons I paid
$1000 for the whole truck knew its history and the
guy needed the money for the drunk driving charges
he got the night he rolled her over
About 4 squirts of oil in that cyl just like
intense said and than check, if comp comes up the
rings are bad
If no increase either leaky head gasket or valve
and would warant removing the head ti find out
whats going on.
If it does come up with oil there is a product
called restore that will help this condition by
filling all the small scratches in the cyl and
helping comp, it may not restore it to full comp
but will help 10 to 20 psi
Sold at walmart has the best price and this
product does help in most cases over an expensive
tear down

Message: Restore is awesome stuff. It is in a silver can and three different sizes... 4 banger, 6 banger and 8 banger. We have the same problem with our 318 with 300K miles on it. Number 8 is a little low on compression and we use that stuff i think it was every other oil change. Really really helps compression.

Heres another one that most gauk at
Zmax micro lube aproved by the aviation industry
for use in air craft
1988 chrysler new yorker could not even try to
take off to hard or trans would slip, after 8oz
of Zmax the trns no longer sliped and could nail
it from the line and has been working great for
over 30,000 miles now
1993 ford pick up bad trans slip the Zmax also
cured this one and has been working good for
over 20,000 miles now
I am not saying this will fix all probs but it
sure did in these 2 transmissions
There are some good aditives out there but if they
have hard to beleave clams they are probably not
true
