Message: I'm assuming your talking about underdrive pulleys... In simple terms yes they are worth it... It's just like a transmission when in first gear, you have really small gear turning bigger gears, providing more power and torque...
I think most just go with the crank pulley due to other drive components turning too slow while idling...
Sam over at socaldakota I think can hook you up with a good deal on these for your truck, if they make them for your truck... Oughta look into him and see what he says...

Message: The flip side of this is if you want to run around spending $75-$100 everytime you find something to give your V6 5 more horsepower here and another 7 horsepower there, you're going to go slowly broke. If you want real power out of that 6, then supercharge it, open up the intake and the exhaust. A couple ponies make no real difference, it's still a heavy truck. From one 6 owner to another who has done alot of spending.

kris...
I have them on my '00 and to be honest, I didn't feel any difference whatsover. Was it worth the 70 bucks? Probably not, but atleast I know its there. You can check it out here: My ASP Crank setup

You're absolutely right when you said spending those amounts will help you go slowly broke BUT not all of us can afford a $3000+ Supercharger. Plus, its a lot funner finding other ways to wake it up, right?!

Message: It's been a big pain in the butt. I actually considered the crank
pulley, saw the price, said enough is enough. I've bought so
much already and haven't really gotten anywhere. All that cash
and effort and maybe I get what? A couple horses?
If you want speed and power, don't dick around is all I'm saying.
I've gone the goofy route myself and regret a few things. Just
hate to see someone else blow a wad of cash and only be able to
say, gee I have another 12 horsepower, whoop de doo. The
supercharger is the single biggest power producing item out
there (average 40% increase in hp). And even with that I'm only
seeing 1/4 mile times of 16.1 for a 6er. Get an 8 or a muscle
car, that will let you really enjoy every thing you add to it. Don't
get me wrong I love working on cars/trucks, it's fun. I spend
whole weekends doing it. Getting go fast parts is also fun (only
if you get real results out of them though).
