Message: I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota 4x4 3.9 Club Cab SLT. I have had it for about 4 months now and im coming to the realization that my truck is slow as hell. It seems like i have to get on the gas just to get it somewhere. I am not sure if this is normal or is there somthing wrong with my engine or even my transmission. I could use some suggestions on what might be wrong with it and if this is normal i plan on throwing a V8 in there let another s10 mess with me.

Have you checked for codes ?
key on,off,on,off,on within 5 seconds
check engine light will flash codes
count flashes in groups of TWO digits
