Message: I just put some autolite 3923's in my 98 dak 3.9. when in park, it sounds as if it wants to stall. It hasn't stalled yet. I gapped them @ .045, the wires are stock. 180 t stat, and k&n cold air intake. Everything else is stock. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Message: Try droping the gap back to .040
If those are reg 3923 run the stock gap you can
only open the plat tip AP3923 up not the reg plugs
You may not yet have enoungh done to the intake
side to run the colder plug, drop the gap and run
them a 100 miles or so and see if you get a tan
color on the white insulator.
Bigger TB and 1.7's or the MSD ignition will heat
things up a bit.
If no tan color go back to either the stock champ
or the autolight 5224 or 3923

Message: bmroz:
Take out the Autolites and try the Bosch Platinum +4 (#4417).
My truck did the very same thing with the 3923's no matter what gap I tried. (tried them all)
The 3923's are too cold, period.
