i was on here reading about a guy who was being made fun of because he had his 3.9 go 120mph and i can vouch for him i dont care what anyone says. yes its governed at 115 or actually its 100 unless you turn the o/d off but ive had mine up to 120 with no mods. yeah i was going 110 when my engine cut off but it kicked back on and i buried the
needle. i was racing my friend from atl in his 97 plymoth breeze and he was going 120 when i passed him so it is possible. im not trying to start anything but dont ditch on someone unless you can prove it otherwise. other than that i just bought a 2004 today and im looking for some good upgrades anything from body kits to engine accessories so if anyone has some ideas and sites plz let me know thanks

My 93 5spd has seen 126 (according to a police radar sign). I had more power, just needed more room. Damn cop didn't believe I could get past 100.

I got my Dak up to 115 with just my exhaust mod and i could have gone faster, but i had a hill coming up infront of me and and a curve, that really slowed me down.
Shes really got the potential, especialy since i added a new tb, headers, and a intake.
Soon i'm gunna add new roller rocker and pulleys, i hadve yet to really push her hard.

I have to normal cold air intake and as of yesterday a 40 series Flowmaster, and I also cut to air horn off of my TB but I plan on getting a bigger on sometime. But that is it until about mid summer and I start doing all of my internal mods like the roller rockers and stuff like that. Amd after all that I am going to get a dyno to how I am doing.

i had my old 3.9 up to 131 mph and the S rated tires started to let me know i needed to slow down.
6.6 Lt. Big Block, 727 TF shift kit, 452 heads, edelbrock 750 cfm, .513/.513 284/300 crower cam, comp cams springs, comp cams pushrods, 1.5 roller rockers, dp intake, mopar ignition, mopar windage tray, dual exhaust w/ 40 series flowmasters, 4.10 gears, coilover drag suspension, approx, 3500 lbs

I just made it to 120 chasing my friends 2002 Cougar which is pretty much a sports car.
I have always been impressed with the dakotas.

I got clocked at 122 on 95 in baltimore, no mods, didn't even have my exhaust back then. Only a $575 dollar ticket to show for it.

I had mine passed 130 but I dont know exactly. I was not letting an accord tuner get the best of me. no real mod, just exhaust and K/N.

i really do not believe anyone had had their truck that fast, first of all, unless you live in the midwest, there is no room to get that fast, secondly, they are not sports cars, the speedo may indicate 120. it won't make it there without killing the engine.

I was on an Air strip. Plenty of room, was clocked by a police Radar, I am a firefighter so I know all the cops, and they didn't beleive I could do it either. So we checked it. My engine still works!
