Subject: speed sensor code IP: Logged
Message: does anyone know what the code is for a faulty speed sensor if there is one. Would this be picked up when checking the abs system. Thanks in advance for your help

Message: the generic code is a 720....and yes it also deals with the abs because it controls that too.

Message: If the code is p0720 then it's most likely the output speed sensor which is located on the back of the tranny. Take it out (1" socket) and clean it off. You will only lose a very small amount of tranny fluid doing this so don't worry about that. If that's not it then check the speed sensor on the top of the diff.
