OK so i am going to get the 3.92 gears for my Dakota and i was wondering if i should get the lockers for my differential to make it pozi. Will i need to do any other work so i dont break anything? i already have some mods.

99 Dak 3.9L v6 5-spd 2x4, exhaust, headers, intake, tb,(soon to be added): 1.7 roller rockers, 3.92 gears, pulleys, spark plugs and wires,etc. Dyno tunned after everything installed.

If you really plan to spend the cash on all of those parts and then get it dyno tuned, I think you'd be much happier with a good detroit street locker out back. All that power and one-wheel drive? You'd hate yourself if you didn't...

Unless you buy slicks for the rear, I think the 8.25 rear end and axles will not break or need any other (expensive) mods done to it. I've never heard of one breaking.
