Subject: Stumble at high RPM during acceleration

I've got a V6 with a V8 throttle, Dirty 14x9 K&N air filter, and a transmission leak (the tran pan bolts are wet but none on the drive way). I did have the air intake mod but did away with it and redid the air intake with a 3" muffler pipe using the old hose connection. This has helped quite a bit, but I still have the problem.

When I punch it and get up towards the end of the shift, the truck stumbles (rpms drop and then a sudden rev again, sometimes four in a row)

What's my prob? Clean my filter (it's practically all black)? Get a new tran pan gasket (am I sucking in air causing shift problems)?

BTW, I have great gas mileage, 20 most of the time with 130,000 miles. I also have a MSD6, BLaster SS with tach adapt and bosch plugs at .44" if that helps any.

Trans fluid is full and red. Never have to top it off. Just got oil change. Regularly use B12 or Outlaw Octane boost in gas.

It's kinda slow when first accelerating but picks up quick towards the end. I know this is due to a dirty air filter.

Could I possibly have somecrap in my fuel line/filter (never changed)?

I mean HESITATION.. I couldn't think of it at the time but I knew it was out there.. yes, hesitation fits quite nicely.

I also have tbs sensor mod.

This has only happened since I first did the air intake sensor mod. (I put it in the airhat).
I've since put it back and that's why it has acted a little better.

it almost sounds like youre hitting the rev limiter. how high are the rpms when it starts to stumble like that?
