Message: Nope, should be pretty easy as long as the bolts aren't severely rusted or seized. It's about a 15 minute job with the right tools.

Message: I have an 88 Dakota V6 2WD automatic transmission. Lately its been just clicking when I try to start it. Sometimes it only takes a couple of tries before it starts right up. Other times it could take 5 to 10 minutes of trying. But it eventally starts right up with no problems. Is this a starter problem?

Message: Chase, it sounds to me like its the starter solenoid going bad, you will need to remove the starter to replace the solenoid, its the piece that the wires hook up to. If you buy a new solenoid you will be able to see what I am talking about. Since you say when it does work it starts right up my guess is that the starter its self is fine.
Good Luck
