Subject: V6 Headers, where? IP: Logged
Message: shopping for some headers for my 02 3.9 2wd. the only ones ive found were at truckperformance.com, the gibsons and jbas. they want $410 for the cheapest jbas and $350 for the cheapest gibsons. i really like the nickel plated gibsons, but i'd take either one just as long as it was cheaper, don't need the polished look. anywhere else i can find headers for a better price before i lay down $350 for those gibsons?

Message: There are some JBA's on KRCPerformance that I was looking at this evening. They are $389. That is expensive, but it seems that most people have these and and pretty satisfied. These is the best I have seen actually. Sometimes you need to sacrafise a little more money for a little better quality and performance. Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but hope that helps some.

Message: does jba make a better header than gibson? the gibsons at truckperformance are $379.99 after shipping, would the jbas be worth the extra 10 bucks to get over the gibsons?

Message: If it was me, I'd try out the Gibsons. My set of JBAs developed a few cracks in them and I had to exchange them at cost since they were a few years old. The Gibsons might be better made.

Message: thanks for the input mark, i really like the look of these gibsons. ive done a few mods to the intake ignition and computer to my sixer, so now im wanting to get to the exhaust. im thinkin id get good gains out of gibson headers, magnaflow or summit muffler, hiflow cat converter and the stock size 2 1/2 tubing.

Message: I have JBA headers on my v6 dakota and they make my magnaflow ehaust sound a hell of alot deeper! Im not to sure about the Gibson headers though. The other thing i noticed it didnt give me much noticeable horsepower at all my truck is still etremely slow. I have airaid intake, poweraid TB spacer, JBA headers, and magnaflow exhaust.
