Message: I am about do for some new shocks. I was wondering waht to best one would be. Right now I am at stock height and soon I am going to go with a 2" rear drop and 1" in the front or a 3/2 drop not sure which I want to do yet. I don't want to go 2 low. but I am thinking about the 3/2 drop and what would be a good shock? Thanks

Message: More to do with whether you go off road
or what kind of ride you are looking for !
Also if going to tow trailer or something
where you might want air adjustable shocks ??

Message: I am not going to do to much offroad type stuff. I will tow a boat maybe but not too much. And I think I am going to lower it 3" in the back and 2" in the front.

Message: I recommend you check out the Hotchkis modified bilstine shocks if you are serious about lowering.

Message: Use dropped shocks on the front. But use extensions on the rear for stock size shocks. I've run Monroes for years. This year I switched to KNGs. My truck handles better and the sway is less. I recommend them. http://www.performancesuspension.com/ should makes extensions for rear shocks.

Message: Try calling Summit Racing and getting a catalog they are doing more with trucks these days. I just bought a set of SkyJackers for my 87 4x4 about 37 bucks a piece.
