Message: Same reason I bought a 1/4 ton instead of the 1/2 ton.
- gas mileage
- does what I need it to (not what I want it to)
- cost (insurance, investment, etc...)
If I wanted more power I would have stepped up to the RAM.

Message: I don't see why price is such an issue. My first r/t was $10,000. Second one was $12,000. Both 99's, one rc one cc, both in great condition and low miles. I've also found 5 other r/t's within 50 miles of where I live and the most expensive one was $13,000. It was a 2001 cc. My friend (well his parents, actually) paid $14,000 for a 2wd rc auto 3.9, so go figure. All I know is that I WOULD NOT buy a Dak unless it was a V8, or any other truck for that matter. But hey, that's just my $0.02

Message: For us younger folks, insurance is a big problem with getting V8's...especially an R/T (though I'd LOVE to have one).

Message: I live in Denver Co. We have some of the highest insurance rates in the nation. I have one speeding ticket that was four point. For my full coverage every month is 250 dollars and that is just for a v6. The other reason I bought my v6 is because I got it for 6.5k you can't find a r/t that cheap.

Message: Man, that sucks. I'm 17, and that's how much my r/t is a month.
