Message: Well here is what im wondering, I have a 98 SLT 3.9 and the stering is fine but the sterring wheel makes a cracking or poping noise when i turn it ether to the left or the right, It is almost like a plastic poppin or somthing. Its not in the engin compartment beacuse the noise is comming from the plastic box directly behind the wheel, but it is getting louder now, i race my truck alot and i need to know if somthing is going to break or somthing, Have you ever herd of this? All help is apperciated.

Message: It is the clock spring. When it goes bad they make all kinds of weird noises in behind the steering wheel.

Message: Ball Joints or Steering coupler...both have TSB's on them (possible warranty work).
