Subject: V8 TB prep for V6 install IP: Logged
Message: I just acquired a V8 TB from a 5.2L motor.
I will be installing it on a 2000 3.9L w/5 speed, Intense cold air intake, series 50 full flow muffler, relocated IAT and Jet chip.
I have access to a milling machine and I know how to use it! So what should I do to prep the TB? I am aiming for low and mid range power for pulling.
Thanx
Jim

Message: Just clean up the top, remove the airhorns (radius the bore entry at a 45 degree angle as well), and set the TPS at .7v. That's it.

Message: Oops...almost forgot.
Don't forget to either change the linkage or change the throttle cable. The V6's use a ball-stud and the V8's use a disc.
