Subject: DISSAPOINTED // GUIDEPLATES ~~~~ IP: Logged
Message: Ok just incase Sam says that he too doesn't have any guideplates, I would like to know if anyone else on here by chance does... I've just gone throught a big issue with Marty and he just told me that to have a nice day, refunded money, yatta yatta a little other input I would like to put in here, but I'm not going to, but very pissed and frustrated as of the moment...
So bassically I'm running or going to be running crower 1.6rr's, but I need some guideplates to make them work... Larry I'm hoping you've got some put away and could possibly help me out here/// I was hoping for crower guideplates, but will settle for anything that will work with the rr's setup I'm running right now just to get the truck back to the house :// Hopefully new and in good shape...
I'll let everyone know what Sam says if he is able to get back with me tomorrow or not...
Thanks in advance for everything that will help out, even some info on someone who is contactable and has some...
P.S. -- 99' dak magnum v6
Thanks Again,
Greg

Message: On the reg crowers the alignment is done with
washers on the valve stem and they work good up to
5500rpm
I have them in the stock 92 motor I am running
right now and many customers trucks and never had
any trouble except when I first put the motor in
they were not put in right and broke a washer and
knocked a retainer off. other than that no probs
I ground a new grade 8 washer to .030 and replaced
it myself after crower lost mt fax order for 1 new
rocker
On the crower rev kit there are no washers and
yes guide plates are needed
My 2 stroker motors I run the crower rev kit and
they work great, I also talked with Sam about a
month ago and he has over 70,000 on his crower
rev kit with guide plates with no probs and
turning over 6000rpm a lot
The only 2 crower guide plate sets I have are in
my 2 motors they came with the roller rockers
the 3.58 stroke motor has 1.7's
the new 4.0 stoker has 1.6 crower rollers
Which crowers do you have
crane also makes a set of guide plates that will
work in the V6 mag engines

Message: Allright Sam came to my rescue here... If you ever want to do business with someone, make sure it's someone like him ; ))
Larry I'm running the 1.6's or rather going to be running the 1.6's... Sam said he could go down the road to crower and get them so that took some ease off of my shoulders :)) AND on top of that he charged $50 less than Marty was and helped me out on a few other things of concern as well...
I'm glad to hear you got that stroker back up and a going again... Got any hp figures yet :))
Thanks Again,
Greg

Yes Sam is a great guy if you need help or
questions answered.
I will be buying a set of harland sharp rollers
from him some time in the future, I want to try
them.
