Subject: for an oil change
IP: Logged

Message:
Currently I am running castrol syntec blend 10W-30 motor oil in my truck (3.9L Dakota v6). I would like to switch over to the Amsoil SAE
10W-30 because after reading all of the posts, it seems to really help. When I do this switch, is it ok for me to just drain the oil pan and then put the synthetic stuff in right away or is there some sort of cleaning I have to do to the engine to get all the old oil out? Im not very mechanically inclined (changing the oil is about the best i can do) and any tips/help would be awesome. Thanks.

Philip

No special procedures or cleaning will be necessary. Just drain and refill.

Wouldn't U use AMSOIL Engine Flush or the like before the switch to Amsoil?

If it is a mechanically sound engine, and has
been maintained properly, you can switch to a
synthetic oil at any time.
