Is the 3.9 V6 PCV the same as the 5.2 V8?

Idiot at the Napa parts counter says they have no listing for a 3.9 PCV for a 2003.

Why don't you take yours off and take it into the store and compare? Or doesn't he even stock it? Fram makes them too you could try someone who stocks their stuff or the dealer.

Why would you bother to answer someone's post if you are no freakin help at all?

I put a 5.2 V8 PCV on my 98. They looked like they were similar....no problems yet. After all the 3.9 is a 5.2 minus 2 cylinders.

Personally I would rather bend a bic pen and stick it in my valve cover rather than put anything Fram on my truck.

Well apparently it is. I have been given the wrong PCV twice when I have asked for one for the 3.9l in my '97. I am not sure if they are the same. I would just drive the truck to NAPA, pull the PCV and compare them. Be prepared for the new one to be noisy at first.

Same valve in this case.
However, it always pays to check. Subtle changes in the orifice diameter or the spring rate, or check ball can affect performance.
