There is no knock sensor
Autoxray will show no knock sensor
some motors with them people put teflon tape on
them to make them less sensitive
Do the mod, with the mods you already have if you
get any ping just drop to the Autolite AP3923 you
should be able to run them at .040 .045 with
good resaults.
You already have the 180 thermo so there will
be no ping on your 94

Without modifying the bellhousing or creating a new bracket for the crank sensor the max timing you will get out of it is going to be 2 to 3 degrees. If the motor is in a good state of tune you will not have any detonation (ping) problems. i would reccomend the 180 t-stat and autolite 3923 plugs even if you are not advancing the timing...

Thanx Larry...thats a response id like to hear...I fit does ping which it could i will do the autolites...but yes my 180 t/s is runnging the motor no less than 180 degrees. I will set up a time with my dad about this operation...BTW He looked on ALL Data and IATN and found no knock sensor at all....so lets see what this crank mod will do for my truck..a few degrees will help a lot you think...my friends d10 already cant pull away from me after 30 m.p.h. and after 65 i pull on him...so pretty close races between me and him. This mod should help me get off the line better like he does.
