Subject: Codes or lack of 'em? IP: Logged
Message: Anyone -
I've got a check engine light on, no noticeable probs.
Took it to 'Zone, they couldn't get a connection with the computer. It was like the computer refused to link with it. We tried the scanner on another vehicle, and no probs......
Maybe computer fubar'd?
Any ideas?
Chris

Message: thought of that right off the bat......
Why wouldn't the hookup be able to communicate with the computer?
said something like "unable to establish a link" on the 'Zone scanner. ??????

Problem could have something to do with
your IAT relocate ?
Try resetting computer ( undo negative batt cable
key on for a few seconds then reconnect )
How long before light back on , if at all ??

Message: I got a check engine light so I hooked up a Innova 3100 scanner from Kragen with no problem.
It gave a code of P0304. This code says misfire detected at #4 plug. I never felt or noticed any sort of problem. Can't explain why you can't read codes though. If someone has a factory manual maybe they can give the pin layout to check them.
