97 DAKOTA.
The truck has a hard time turning over when trying to start it when the engine is hot. Could this be a starter problem? Also, it will stall and not idle. If I run it at 1000 rpm or more it eventually will idle.

Bad connection
Bad battery
Bad starter
Find a good shop have them do a load test on batt
and a amp draw test on the starter
sounds to me like your battery is bad
