I have a 95 V6 with 155K on it. HAd been very reliable until this past fall. With the wifey driving, it quit at full speed and after 9-10 stops she finally gets it home. Local mechanic got me for the computers and labor for way too much and soon enough it started again. Truck was hauled to a dodge dealer 50 miles away. They have worked on it 3X and determined the problem to be a ground wire burn out in the wiring harness. They have replaced the ground wire and it worked fine for 550 miles. It has begun to skip, quit and stall at full speed and idle again. I have spent over $2000 on this truck since fall. Should this Dakota be put to pasture or is there someone with any ideas. What could be burning the ground wire. Is it the problem or a secondary problem to another issue?
