3.7 has 210 hp and 235 #ft of tq but they are slow anyway (0-60 in 10 seconds??)
who cares about the 3.7....I want the 5.7

I thought that the new hemi was a 528? If it is a 350 that proves that Chevy makes good engines if Mopar is copying off them.

The original 350 was a Plymouth anyways. The very first form of the 440 was a 350 in the middle 50's

They only offered it for a year before they changed it to the 361. The 383 was next. then the 413, 426, 440,then 400. All have their roots with the 350

I heard from the Dodge web site that the new 5.7 Liter Hemi motor is 353 ci.

I hope they have learned how to make a good hemi engine now. What are they going to put them in? Because doesn't the engine have to be in 500 cars or some thing like that before they can use it to race with?

Ported 68mm throttle body, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" cold air, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat. Electric fan Convertion, Awaiting HO cams.
Working on adjustable fuel pressure with return.

I thought the first of the 350 mopars was the 340. And Chevy's version of the 350 came from the 283 in the 50's, then it was 327 then 350. With a 307 and 302 in there somewhere. I could be wrong on the mopar thing but as far as Chevy, I'm pretty sure that's right. Greg

You are thinking small blocks. The 350 Plymouths were BIG blocks. They were only available for one year. Bet your house on it. The first factory 350cid engine was produced by Chysler!!!
