too big unless you have an S/C or Turbo. 48mm is as big as you want on a 3.9. this thing is 53mm.

If you can get a 50mm Sick T/B off of ebay
buy it!I just put one on my 94 3.9 and I
am very pleased with it.50mm is not too big!!
