I know a lot of you guys participated on that Superchips group buy a while ago and I was wondering if anyone has any comments on them. Is it worth spending that much on a chip?

Message: I would be very careful buying these units from non authorized dealers. If you need an update, only Superchips can do it, and they will refuse to do it if you did not buy it from one of their authorized dealers and have a receipt to prove it. A guy I know bought one this way and was out $300 for the unit.

another mark..
i don't want to participate in another group buy, i was just interested in finding out how the people like the product itself. you know, was it worth it and stuff.

Message: I bought one for my 03 cc 3.9
Had no issues and it does work.
It wasnt a bad buy for the 270 i got on the group buy. Right now I'm using it on the 87 octane to keep gas prices down. It is also a great dianostic tool for the codes.

Message: For $275.00 I have felt some differences. I feel it responde better in combination with the transmision. I am using the 87 octane program. I have Accel cap & rotor, JBA cable, MSD coil, factory plugs gauge @45 and 180 Jet stat.
My truck is Quad Cab Sport Plus 4x4.
My next move should be either the 1.7 rollers and or F&B TB.

Message: I have had mine for about 2-3 months now. I found the performance program to work well with all my mods. The power definitely picks up above 3000 RPM. I want to get the dak dyno'd some time soon. I haven't seen any improvement in MPH but I haven't lost any either. If gas prices go over $2/gal then I may switch to the 87 program. I don't know if 87 program would be any better than the stock because I have a 5 speed. I think the 87 changes the shift points on an automatic. Superchips did update my program because it did not recognize the original program. It was purchased through a authorized vendor from a group buy. Good luck.

Message: Aloha dudes and duddetts,
Save your money on some REAL upgrades. A chip on our V6 would only affect the performance if the was stock. BUT if you did some mods like exhaust, headers, and intakes then you wouldn't see a difference with adding a chip. just my opinion.

Message: The Superchip is by far the best mod that I have put on my V6 3.9 l. I have a Fastman TB, a Flowmaster 70 Series muffler, and Harland Sharp roller rockers, and they all help. In combination, the Superchip still works wonders for torque, power and mileage without knocking. I do not have headers as I think that this would be pushing things too far. Use at least 91 octane gas and the Superchip really wakes up the V6 3.9.
