HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
My best ever mileage was 15.7 when the truck was new, it's
about 14.1 at best, mid 13s on average. 22/23 I think you
you are measuring your performance based on down grade
driving with the engine in neutral.

Message: Maybe we should laugh at your numbers. My truck was my brother's, when new he got 22 mpg highway. At 127K miles, not having tuned it yet, I get 19-20 mpg highway. That's a 4WD with 3.9L V-6, 4-speed auto (which sometimes doesn't go into overdrive) and and an extended cab and cap. I expect to get it to 21 mpg when all tuned and adjusted properly.

Message: I have a CC 4x2 auto, 3.55 LSD, hard lid, 30x9.50/15 tires inflated to the maximum 50lbs, and use 10w-30 synthetic, also synthetic in the LSD. I don't have a trip computer and my odometer isn't calibrated for the 30" tires, so I calculate mpg by actual road miles and gallons used (the most accurate method). In summer I get a repeatable 22-23 mpg @ 65-70 mph on 600+ mile trips.
Only things I have done over stock is Bosch platinum plugs, 180 t-stat, the airhat hold-down mod, double roller timing chain, and I removed the "elephant trunk" from the airbox and enlarged the hole to 4" diameter.

Message: I have a '94 3.9 V6 4x2 longbed, 64,500 miles, 22-gallon tank. I get around 12-13 in town, not sure what the highway mileage is since I've mainly drove it in town since buying it last August. I would think it would get better gas mileage, but part of it is due to my lead foot, I guess.
