Over the weekend, my Dak. suddenly refused to start (as in, running fine on Saturday, won't start on Monday). What I know/have tried so far:

The engine is cranking fine, lots of fuel in the tank. The battery shows good condition on the tester.

All fuses are fine, inside and under the hood.

The fuel pump is cycling before I try to start it.

I've tried to start it around a dozen times. It kinda sorta caught today but just coughed once while it was cranking. Otherwise, nothing.

It's a 3.9 2WD, 65000 km. I went through the thread at http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v6/5992.html but have come up empty on what I tried out of that. Any other thoughts out there?

Read this post, might help. http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v6/8499.html
This well tell you how you can check the crank sensor to see if its giving a pulse out to fire the coil. if no check engine ligts are present it very well could be your pcm, mine went out on my 98 at 50,000 miles. Thats prob. not your case but its still a possibilty. but read the post it should help you out. Oh yea, check your catalytic converter, the insides of the converter could have broken apart causing restricted exhuast flow.
