Is it possible to do it. Yeah, it is. But why would you? With the money that it would take you to do that, you could buy the same truck, but a manual!

if you can find the parts at a junkyard, it wouldnt be that bad.

AX15 would be the tranny you need. They are behind all four and six cylinder jeeps with the five speed... or at least in the last 12 years.

they are also behind most 4 and 6 cylinder dakotas. If you get one from the I4 or I6, you will need a new bellhousing. Just try to find a donor truck that would have all the parts.

intense, what do you think, is it worth it? if i found a donor truck that is. the only way i would consider it is if my tranny went, which it hasnt yet, but i am just keeping the option in mind. and do you know if i can use my stock t-case?

if i could get the donor truck cheap enough.. i would do it.

but if my auto was good.. i would sell it

there are plenty of people out there that dont want to pay top dollar for a rebuild.

but thats just me
