Message: Dus anyone know how to fix or rebuild a starter solinoid on a 92 with a v6,cause every time i try to start it,it just makes this clicking sound,but sometimes it starts ok

Message: Go to local parts store and buy a solenoid for about $30? It's very easy to drop the starter and replace the solenoid on it. Be careful not to lose any shims that may be between the starter and the block.

Message: hey i had the same problem with my 87 dakota I also have plenty of other problems with it to but neway on the drivers side there are two little computer box things make sure those are connected and shake them around a little of if you try and start it and it just clicks hit those softly and it should end up starting this is wat i did and now it starts fine which might of ment it being a ground
