Well i have the same problem with my truck i a pretty stock 1999 DOdge Dakota Sport Single cab. all i have done to it is an Air-raid cold air intake, 50 series flowmasters. thats it for the time being. im pretty sure its my heavy foot because i must get like 190 miles to a 13 gallon tank on the freeway and like maybe 11 on streets. any way i can modify my truck to get better MPG without changing my driving habbits

1988 regular cab 4x4 5 speed 3.9L. I have a 195 thermostat, no mods, no air conditioning I do have a topper. I get 18 mpg city. If I am just doing highway driving I get 22 to 24 mpg. I am not a lead foot and do not go over 70 mph, I mostly stay at 60 mph on highway. My truck is not a power house but it gets where I am going and does well off-road.
