Message: I was wondering if anybody ever had a problem with a tapping sound in the engine, my buddy who works in at a dodge dealership says thats the 3.9s are notorious for the last header bolt to break off and cause this sounds, its kinda got me worried and i dont want it to be something really extreme, if anyoone knows any kind of solution or what it could be, that'd be great

Message: I just had the entire crankset replaced for a tapping sound that I thought was a load lifter?
Couldn't hear it in engine compartment, but heard it clear as day in cab. My dealer said it was their second one. Diagnosis was that the crank was out of spec.
Hope this helps
