i would put my money on a 3.9 man. Those v8 rams have nothing. A dakota wouldn't smoke one but it would beat it.

so a 5.9 ram won't beat a 3.9 dak YOU FOOL! my little bro has a stock 5.9 Ram and it smokes my modified 3.9 Dak by a lot! from dead stop to street start to runnin side by side at 60 and hittin it he runs out past me. He has a 4 door short bed 4X4 and mine is a ext.cab 2 wheel drive.

slopehead i really don;t beleive you. i've taken more than a few rams at the track. the 5.9 is a lil harder but the 5.2s are yeasily overtakable

I always thought the Rams were made more for power, not speed, unlike the dakotas which I thought were made more for performance. I could be wrong, but with that in mind I always figured a Dak could overtake a Ram unless the Ram had lots of performance modifications.
