Message: When did you guys start doing mod's to your ride? Was it when your warranty was expired or did you start it once you got it? I have 55,000 miles on mine and want to start doing mod's on it right now but wondering if i should wait
Thanks.

Message: I did my first mods today!!! I just baught the truck about a month ago. It is a 99 3.9L 4x4 CC with 100,000 miles on it. I just put on a K&N cold air, S bolt, and adjusted my TPS sensor. I hope to be getting a bigger TB soon and some 1.7 RR's.

Message: Dennis... there are a lot of mods you can do now that won't void your warranty. But for some, you may wanna wait because they will void your warranty and I don't think you'd wanna do that. I think most "bolt-on" mods won't void it, but stuff that gets into the internal parts will.

Message: It really doesn't matter. it all depends on the condition of the motor. you don't want to go adding parts to a motor with more than say 130,000 miles because you really will not see that much of a difference. I am waiting to rebuild mine then put a whole bunch of parts on. Also. to get gains. the parts need to work together. You would not put in a cam with a high rpm gain with a tb that gains power at low rpm. you need to do a lot of research before you start adding parts.

Message: I started putting mods on mine when the stock parts wore out.
I just replaced the stockers with aftermarket stuff.
the normal exhuast, tires, intake, bigger TB, bigger cat (my brother is a police officer so I have to be legal... otherwise more would be done)
was going to do the 1.7RR but trading in the truck.
I started with about 80,000 miles

Message: Shoot, since your brother is a cop, shouldn't it be the other way around and you could get away with more? lol
