I just rebuilt my 94 3.9mag starts great for about a couple of min, then I notice the oil pressure drop and the truck starts running rough until it finally dies. I noticed this when I was timing the engine. Starts back up just fine again. I did not change the dist. or the cam but did change the oil pump during the rebuild. would a bad timing ring or worn gear cause this.Do I need a new dist? Im very frustrated dont know what to do!

The oil presure drop is the engine dying and
slowing down.
You have some other probs there it should not die
see if your losing spark or fuel or both someting
is making the motor die
