I need to know if I can swap out a rear end of my friends 99 wrecked Dakota R/T with 3.90(i think) posi rear into my 94 dak 2wd 3.55 Peg Leg??

You should have a 8.25" rear and the R/T's have a 9.25" rear, so you would have to switch the entire axle and everything, not sure how easy it would be.

I was wondering this as well. I think the axle lengths are different but cant you make them longer or shorter? Probably have to do some work to the drive shaft.

if it was me. i'd swap the whole drive train. it should all basically be a bolt in.

Just mesure the width and pad locations to see
if it will bolt in.
you may need the R/T's drive shaft the splines
should be the same but most 9.25's have the bigger

Ok well it looks like more work than i thought...i will have to see if he can get the 3.55 posi and thats about it.
