So im racing this old eclipse down the highway..pretty even..when all the sudden the kota shuts down.scared the bejesus outta me...no pedal response..thought i broke something..lol..ok...no biggie..guess i finally found my speed limiter..seemed to be around 115mph..but noticed the check engine light came on. When i got off the highway,taking off from a stop, seemed like truck woldnt automatically go into 1st gear..but after shuttin off and sitting for a few hours its runnin normal.....Is this normal??.i did a search..but didnt see anyone with the same problem when they hit the limiter

You should scan it for codes... that's not normal. When you hit the limiter, it would have just stopped gaining speed/rpm's or if you had a few mods it may have bounced off it some. Shouldn't have given you the check engine light...I think you had something else happen at about the same time.

Hmm..Thanks for the response josh..yeah i have some mods, but after some driving..im guessin yesterday..the light has gone off,and yes it still comes on when i start it to check the bulb.

Did you notice anything in the odometer... like "no bus" or something like that? This sound like my mine used to do. I does not happen all of the time, just every now and then. So I took it to the dealer and had them hook it up to the computer and found out that my PCM was !
