Message: '99 3.9 v6 2WD Dak(63,000mi). Bought some Autolite 5224 for my Dak.....Seems to run better but gets worse mpg. Would using the stock champion be better on mpg. I haven't changed my wires or distributer either.

Message: I use the Bosch Platinum +4's (#4417) and have been real happy with them. Don't use the part number that Bosch specs (#4418).
The 4417's are the same plug, but 1 step colder and they work great.

Message: on the 3.9 you can expect 14-19 mpg. It all depends on the amount of right foot you use and the state of tune of your vehicle. Keep up on your scheduled mant. and use some of the techniques that are mentioned in this forum.
