i'm gonna take a wild guess on this but i'd have to say that it is a flowmaster 40 series or maybe 50 series dual outlet with some 3 inch tips.... am i right???? maybe not but my next guess would probably be spintech mufflers

I love it sounds absolutly mean. What do you have
on their. Let the secret out please. I think i
will have to upgrade. My only guess would have to
be flowmaster 40 series, with no cat, and a nice
intake.
so am i right, if not let us know what you have

To Believe it or not

It is only a glasspack designed by the
local muffler man. He says its the
best sounds he's created for any dodge.
I also have the cold air intake with
3" Pipes

my 40 series flowmaster delta flow sounds very similar to that that is why i said flowmaster 40 series with 3 inch tip because that is what i have and i love my flowmaster it sounds awesome. I was afraid to install the flowmaster at first for fear it would be way too loud but to my surprise it's actually quieter then my dynomax super turbo but i find it is a bit deeper but also at times a bit more high endish but it is never raspy nor is it honda sounding.... good thing summit sent me the wrong series flowmaster because i like the 40 and i think i would have hated the 50 because it would have been whisper quiet....

i'm sorry i should have been a little clearer on this but yes..... my flowmaster 40 series delta flow is LOUD but no where near as loud as the older 40 series without deltaflow... if you go on flowmasters site and look at the new 40 series vs. the old 40 series it's a big difference in sound levels both exterior and interior, the new 40 series is more in the sound range of the older 50 series without deltaflow and now the 50 series with deltaflow is more in the sound level range of the 70 series. My 40 series just sounds plain out mean as hell but i find the key to getting a good sound out of the v6 comes with a properly sized and shaped exhaust tip. I used a 3in. gibson on mine and slanted it slightly back towards the rear so it exits similar to the stock r/t exhaust tip. The old 40 series made v6 dakotas sound like a*s but the new deltaflow's sound awesome and YES.... flowmasters gaurantee of more power is very true, it was a night and day difference between my dynomax and my flowmaster now the truck pulls really really hard at 3000rpm and up where as before it pulled hard from idle up to 3000rpm but after seemed to pull hard after 3000rpm but not near as hard as it does now. It's is by no means quiet but i think it's because at cruising speeds on the highway it seems to mellow out more then the dynomax and doesn't hum as much but at lower speeds it's much louder...

cbsdakota, which 50 series do you have? SUV, Performance Street, Deltaflow. Flowmasters tech line told me that the 50 series SUV would give me the sound I was looking for (not extream but aggressive enough to turn heads - not irritating during highway driving). Could you give me a little more detail about what it sounds like at different speeds. Also, where did you buy it, any ideas were I could get the best price. Thanks

honestly do you really wanna know what it will sound like with no cat????????? it will sound like absolute S*IT, your truck will be the only one in town that sounds like a honda motorcycle at full tilt..... A kid in my town has a 97 v6 dakota with no cat and his sounds like a big farty rice maker and not to mention it but the thing has no balls and absolutely no torque, it's butt slow.... Unless you want less torque and a truck that sounds like a honda dirt bike then go ahead and pull the cat but did i mention that it is also illegal and there is a hugh fine for it if you get caught, plus you'll have a nice yellowish amber hue added to your dash lights also known as your "check engine light"....

good cat back and headers..... good........ hollowed out or removed cat.....bad
v6 likes backpressure removing too much makes v6 very unhappy....
