does any one know is it easy to switch out a v6 with a v8. my 6 only has 2 rods connected to the crank the rest are in the pan or hanging out. the oil pump my dealer instaled was bad and now they dont want to warranty the pump. so its either a new motor or a law suit!!!

Contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint against the dealership...a lot of people on here said that will usually do the trick. You could also contact some of the "big guys" at the dealership about it. Since there's a warranty, I'd try that...it'd be cheapest.

I would call chrysler direct and complain the
dealership installed a faulty oil pump and the
resaults were a severly damaged engine and
sholud be held responsible for installing sub
standard parts.
Or a brainless tech who did a bad job like
forgetting to install the gasket or ran the
pump dry, you need to prime most all pumps if
even with a squirt botlle and rotating in the
right direction so it will be wet and pick up oil
right away avoiding a dry start condition that
would hit the rod bearings hard
A rod bearing does not contact metal to metal it
rides on a thin film of oil
Just incase, don't know what year you are but a
318 or 360 will bolt right in use same trans but
need to change flex plate and either the wire
harnass or add the 2 injector wires for cyl #7&8
and run the V8 computer, that's it on the swap
