Subject: Drivers Side Floor Wet IP: Logged
Message: '98 I have searched through many of the posts on this website and have found lots about the passenger side floor being wet and how to fix that, but nothing about the driverside. Whenver it rains water drips into my truck and down through the electrical system and pools on the floor. I have tried to plug various holes between cab and the firewall with no success. I am currently using newspaper to soak up the water and hoping that it doesnt short out my electrical. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Message: It's probably your seal on your windshield...common problem I've heard.

Message: I just noticed it was wet under my driver's side floor mat today when I was vacuuming. It was pretty wet and it hasn't rained in a week so it must have been soaked at one time.
I've read so much about water on the passenger side but has anyone figured out a common leaky area on the driver's side?

Message: My 94 x-cab was the same.
I tried the seals around all the windows and ended up taking out all the interior panels, roof, seats and carpet. I discovered it to be a leak under the moulding connecting the roof to the rear side panels. By removing the 4 bolts on the inside the trim came off and it was discovered that it was never sealed or fully welded. A bit of silicone fixed it.
The trim runs from the top rear of the door jamb to the rear window. The water ran down the side in the rear seat and along side of the door to the driverside floor.
Hope this helps

Message: I was having that problem not too long ago and finally realized that it was running down my power wire to my amp that I had running beside the door (A tempory job till I had time to find a gormmet to run it through the firewall). I move the power wire and now it no longer leaks.
