Subject: Question for larry on a 88 motor build
IP: Logged

Message:
Larry i have decided to just stay with the v6 in the truck and stick with the v8 in my cars. So my questions is i want to build a new motor from the spare motor i have so i would like to get a little crazy but not to much its a pre mag motor so if you could direct me on what to do. Such as

1.Short block
2.Heads
3.v8 throttle body if needed
4.Cam
5.Rockers
6.Any milling on the heads or block
7.headers and exhaust size
8.any porting of the intake

I want to stay with the factory TBI unless you have another way. I would like to get 200+hp if possible with the factory intake and TBI. Ive read other post about the heads working well with la v8 motors head parts so if you could direct me in the right numbers for what i need.

Thanks Ryan

give krc performance a call. they can build you just about anything you want for your engine. they have, cams, roller rockers, throttle bodies, even v6 superchargers, or they can build you a hole new engine. just call (321) 635-8866 and ask for marty and tell him what you want. Steve

mopar also makes 2 cams for the motor

towing RV cam
performance RV cam

the hot cam with a 4bl 600 holley make some good
power.

Your TBI will run it but with a little less perf
over the 4bl
